In July 2014, we had two amazing geometric sculptors, George Hart and Nick Sayers, doing a residencies in the UBC Orchard Garden, in conjunction with the PME (Psychology of Mathematics Education) international conference.
George designed and built our hyperboloid gate/ arbour, with the help of many PME participants, Orchard Garden student team members and other UBC helpers. Here is a link to the film George made for the Simons Foundation about the whole experience!
