We started our morning under a shining sun and a blue sky, surrounded by fluttering butterflies and buzzing bees. First, we had a lovely tour of the garden where we got to see some of the awesome work the last cohort did with planting “The Three Sisters”. Next, we had an essential safety orientation. I learned that it is important to have SPF for your lips, too! In the afternoon, we got to weeding and watering as we familiarized ourselves with the garden space.
What a lovely first day! We are buzzing with excitement for all the learning, growth, and experience that is to come.
